They give you a different perspective on things. Have you ever started your day feeling the warmth of the sun on your face? Whether it be while you're on a beautiful island somewhere, or in your own bed. You’re hit with that ray of sunshine that instantaneously just fills you with so much happiness, it puts a smile on your face. You then grab your favorite pair of shades and are ready for the day. Ready to go shopping, jogging, hit the beach, that pool party or just for a walk. We link our inner happiness to shades, that's why. And while we're at it, let's add some luxury to its name...Dior...Fendi...Gucci...and the list goes on and on.
I think we can all admit that these past few years living life in this pandemic has been chaotic. In a short span of time, it has brought everything we know, or thought to have known, to a halt. We have been forced to stop and re-evaluate ourselves, our lives, our happiness. But the one constant I have found, is that we're not willing to sacrifice luxury.
We all work extremely hard towards that luxurious lifestyle we all want. Having a luxury item can sometimes gives our soul a sense of pride, a sense of accomplishment, a sense of satisfaction. We all have a luxury fetish, even the budget friendly person that’s tight in all aspects of life. There’s always that one thing we will allow ours to splurge on. It may be watches, bags, jewelry, shoes, cars…we will spend the right amount for the right item, or pair of shades in this case. But we don't have to...that's where Cari comes in.
"You're always finding great deals" he says, "You should do something with that." Well, I finally took my husband up on this and Cari D was launched. It started out with me finding an awesome pair of luxury shades at an amazing price. Usually I'd purchase one for myself. But then I started purchasing an extra one or two pairs. I was sure someone else would love them just the same, and would have missed out on that sale. I found a way for that budget friendly fashionista to purchase her first pair of luxury shades, a way for that splurging fashionista to purchase another pair of luxury shades without dishing out that hefty price tag. All items are always 100% authentic, brand new, and purchased direct from the manufacturer or an authorized dealer such as Nordstroms or Saks Fifth Avenue.
I started reselling on different sites. Each item would be gift wrapped and packaged carefully, as I wanted customers to feel happy and special when their order arrived. Some customers purchase gifts for friends and relatives, so my packaging worked out perfectly. I'd also include a gift note if a customer requests. I try my best to get orders out same day if possible, or next day. I know how it feels to be excited about a new purchase, and want it as of yesterday, if you know what I mean!
Demand started to build and so did requests from customers. They may be looking for a certain style, so they’d ask and I'd keep an eye out for that item, and in essence I sort of became a personal shopper. Inventory started to increase, and every now and then I’d add additional one off items, like bags and jackets all depending on what I’d find. I developed relationships and accounts with my suppliers, and decided to launch Caridluxe.com, to better suit the needs of my clientele which has grown domestically and internationally. The overall shopping experience has been streamlined and enhanced.
